About the opportunity
We are seeking a motivated, intelligent, enthusiastic, suitably qualified professional in Facilities Management and Work Health and Safety to join our college community. You will work as part of our collaborative facilities team to coordinate the facilities management of the College.
In this position you will be responsible for :
Coordinating general day-to-day tasks, monitoring workloads, promoting teamwork, skill development, and a sense of pride in the schoolDeveloping and interpreting legislation, regulations, procedures, and other guideline material relating to operations within the schoolPreparing and maintaining procurement activities including overseeing budget administration, and activitiesMarketing and promoting facilities services, coordinating programs that are responsive to the school requirements and current trendsContributing to the school's strategic and operational plans by reviewing legislation, regulations, initiatives, and policies and providing recommendationsCo-ordinating the maintenance of the college facilities and assetsAssisting the Business Manager and working in conjunction with the facilities team to scheduleSupervise and coordinate contractors to the college to complete work in accordance with maintenance schedules and with minimal disruption to college life.This includes ensuring all work health and safety contractor compliance is adhered to.This role also assists the work health and safety team at the college with reviewing risk assessments, performing safety inspections, preparing SOPs and SWMS as required.About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including :
Having coordinated daily tasks and monitored workloads for a teamParticipated in the interpretation of legislation, regulations, and developed proceduresHaving managed procurement activities, including budget oversight and administrationExperience in the promotion of services internallyStrategic focus where you have contributed to operational plans by reviewing policies and providing recommendationsFor this position you are not required to be CatholicKnowledge and previous experience in all aspects of facility and resource management is essentialWork health and safety qualifications and a working knowledge in this area would be highly regarded or at least a keen interest to be trained in this areaAbility to work independently and make firm and well-informed decisionsA high level of communication and interpersonal skills is essentialStrong organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to priortise tasksStrong administrative skills would be advantageous with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements :
