Job Description

The Service Desk Support Tech is a member of the Internal Systems IT Support Team responsible for providing in-person and remote IT support to ARx staff and team members in our Orlando offices. Additional responsibility to serve as an escalation path for other support team members. Support includes a wide range of disciplines including but not limited to telephony, conference room technology, iOS support, Windows PC support, and application support. Position will also have the opportunity to assist with new technology evaluations that support the User Experience.

  1. Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 support on workstations and laptops, including troubleshooting.
  2. Perform PC imaging, inventory management, and lifecycle support for equipment.
  3. Serve as an escalation point for local IT Support Technicians.
  4. Install and troubleshoot printers and other peripherals as required.
  5. Provide instruction to users on computer use and productivity applications.
  6. Propose and implement system enhancements to improve reliability and PC performance.
  7. Support other electronic devices as needed.
  8. Manage audio/visual systems, such as projectors and teleconferencing equipment.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service skills and a commitment to end-user experience.
  • Experience in desktop support with Windows 10 and Macintosh operating systems.
  • Experience investigating and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with workstation configuration.
  • Ability to document configurations, processes, and policies.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Awareness of security best practices and disciplines.

Desired Skills

  • Exposure to IT Asset Management controls.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personality types; a positive, can-do attitude is essential.
  • Experience with JIRA, SharePoint, and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective team collaboration skills and aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Experience with automated desktop imaging tools, such as MDT.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, 24x7x365 SaaS environment is desirable.
