The Country Chef Bakery Co. is seeking an experienced, customer-driven, and results-focused National Account Manager to join our team, based in either Melbourne or the Sunshine Coast.

Country Chef's recipe for success has transformed us from a small family-run start-up in the 1950s to one of Australia's leading bakery businesses, with partnerships including Australia's major retailers. While we compete in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, our menu for success remains our incredible ingredients, original ideas, and genuine craft in every product we bake. About This Opportunity

The National Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, strategic, and long-term relationships with key customers.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Develop, communicate, and execute effective sales plans, including identifying and executing new business opportunities
  2. Analyse sales performance and market data to identify opportunities, risks, and strategic initiatives for key accounts
  3. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions and drive account success
  4. Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with major retailers to maximize profitability and partnership value
  5. Monitor market trends and activity to proactively adjust account strategies

About You

Demonstrated experience managing major national accounts within the FMCG industry

Strong analytical acumen and experience with FMCG databases such as Quantium & IRI

A customer-focused professional with strong emotional intelligence

Highly self-motivated with a can-do attitude

Demonstrated high-level organisational and planning skills

Able to understand and interpret market insights

Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail

Well-rounded commercial insight and strategic business acumen

Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously in a team environment

Able to display excellent judgment, drive, and initiative
