Product and Pricing Manager

We are currently seeking a talented Portfolio Manager to join an innovative financial services company, focusing on consumer lending products and driving key commercial outcomes. This role blends product management, pricing strategy, data analytics, and market insights to shape the growth strategy and expand market share.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing and optimizing consumer loan products, ensuring alignment with market trends, and delivering insights that influence strategic decisions. You'll work closely with multiple teams to optimise product offerings and refine pricing strategies, all while enhancing the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Management & Optimisation: Oversee and continuously enhance consumer lending products, including personal and car loans, based on market demands and performance insights.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, customer behaviours, and product performance to guide decision-making and inform business cases for product improvements.
- Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness while maximising profitability. Collaborate with teams to optimise Net Interest Margin (NIM) and commission structures.
- Market Expansion & Competitor Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of market share, pricing trends, and competitor performance to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation in the market.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Strategy Implementation: Partner with internal teams, including BDMs and marketing, to align product offerings with business objectives. Assist in designing marketing initiatives that support partner relationships and drive loan originations.
- Regulatory & Compliance Support: Work closely with the legal and compliance teams to ensure that product offerings meet regulatory standards and maintain up-to-date agreements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in product management, pricing, or commercial strategy within the financial services industry.
- Strong background in data analysis, with proficiency in advanced tools and techniques to interpret complex data sets and market trends.
- Proven experience in pricing strategy and competitor benchmarking within the financial services landscape.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to lead key initiatives that span various teams.
Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Expertise in process optimisation to improve efficiency and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial services economics, including commercial drivers and market dynamics.
- Understanding of competitor benchmarking for rates, fees, product features, policies, and positioning.
- Commercial acumen, particularly in pricing and financial modeling.
- Ability to manage and enhance asset finance products to align with market demands.
- Experience in research, development, and project management of new products.
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, commission structures, and market positioning is an advantage.
- Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.
- Experience with brokers or third-party distribution channels is a plus.
