About the Opportunity:

A well-established industrial contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join their Charlotte-based team. This role is centered on large-scale equipment installation, millwright services, and rigging projects, supporting clients in manufacturing, advanced industrial, and heavy mechanical sectors.

You'll play a key role in preparing accurate bids, coordinating preconstruction activities, and ensuring smooth project execution from planning to completion — all while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead estimating efforts for industrial projects with a primary focus on equipment installation, millwright work, and rigging operations.
  • Review RFQs, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate scopes, pricing, and schedules.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, logistics, and potential risk factors.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive and complete bid proposals.
  • Prepare detailed scopes of work including inclusions, exclusions, and commercial terms.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to execution.
  • Support contract negotiations, change order pricing, and project documentation.
  • Develop manpower-loaded schedules using MS Project or Excel.
  • Maintain strict adherence to industry safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 4+ years of industrial estimating/project management experience.
  • Direct experience in millwright services, equipment installation, and rigging.
  • Strong knowledge of crane operations and heavy equipment handling.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification & valid driver's license.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • Experience with manufacturing, mechanical, or energy sector projects.
  • Familiarity with CAD or alignment software.
  • Additional trade or safety certifications.
