Community Support Worker - Nepean Region

About the role:
Lumia Care company presents an exciting opportunity for passionate Community Support Workers to join the team in assisting our clients living inthe Nepean region.

  • Wide variety of shifts available Monday – Friday 7am-4pm (3 days availability required).
Role responsibilities:
  • Support clients in our community needing assistance with social support, transport to appointments, shopping or community outings.
  • Provide personal care to clients with dignity and respect such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing.
  • Continue to support clients to live in their own home by providing help with their domestic assistance, meal preparation and most importantly, companionship.
What we are looking for:
  • A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is aMUST.
  • Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training.
  • Residing in the Nepean region eg: Penrith, Werrington etc.
  • Experience using a hoist and/or other manual handling equipment.
  • Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly desirable, current Nursing students will also be considered.
  • Experience in either aged care, disability or community is highly desirable.
  • A valid driver's license and own vehicle is aMUST for daytime shifts.
  • Current First Aid certificate (mandatory) or willing to obtain.
  • Current Police Check (mandatory)or willing to obtain.
  • NDIS Worker screening checkand Working with Children Checkor willing to obtain.
