Position: Research Fellow/PhD Candidate in Quantum Computing & Communication

Eligibility: Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents desirable. Candidates currently in Australia may apply.

Role Overview:

Join our team advancing quantum technologies through theoretical and experimental research in quantum computing, algorithms, networks, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct original research in quantum computing
  • Contribute to major research projects and meet deliverables
  • Publish in high-impact journals (PRL, Nature Physics, PRX Quantum)
  • Collaborate with researchers and industry partners
  • Assist with grant proposals
  • Co-supervise students and participate in knowledge sharing

Essential Qualifications:

  • Research experience in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
  • Strong publication record in quantum science
  • Expertise in quantum theory OR experimental quantum systems
  • Programming skills (Python, Qiskit, Cirq, etc.) for theorists
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
