Senior Manager, Emerging Technology, Architecture and Cloud Chapter, (Cloud Hosting) – Permanent role

This role is within the Cloud Hosting, Cloud Enablement, Architecture, Emerging Technology & x15 Chapter, of the Chief Technology Office (CTO) TCO Centre of Excellence (CoE) that works closely with business units within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) to strengthen and drive effective Technology risk management, and assist with uplifting controls and risk culture.

In this role you'll initially focus on supporting the Cloud Hosting Team which include the DevSecOps hosting platform (DHP) – a strategic cloud-native platform, which enables technology teams to adopt cloud at scale using standards hosting patterns and reusable, secure, and scalable infrastructure components. You will help drive risk capability uplift, specialist technology control knowledge, and embed a strong and proactive risk culture. You will act as a trusted risk and controls advisor to executive management within the CTO team providing thought leadership on control development and supporting leaders with developing appropriate risk and control strategies, for these key technology processes.

The Technology Chief Controls Office works with the business, including IT Service Owners, Business Owners, Engineers, Architects, Control Leads, Enterprise Procurement, and Cyber Security to identify and assess technology and operational risks and the development of effective controls. Additionally, it supports the maintenance of an effective risk management framework by leading risk engagement. We bring together specialist risk advice and thought leadership to support the business in the delivery of their outcomes within an effective risk culture.

On any given day you will

• Engage with a broad spectrum of stakeholders across the Technology and the group including engineering teams, security and cyber teams, architects, specialists, business owners, and other risk specialists
• Perform technology and control risk assessments.
• Identify key risks, issues, controls and incidents, and advise on remediation.
• Provide specialist advice on technology compliance, controls and other internal policies.
• Inform and influence senior stakeholders to achieve better risk outcomes.
• Supporting the stakeholders to build effective IT controls, through thought leadership, industry knowledge and technical capability.
  
  

We're interested in hearing from people with

• Technical expertise in Cloud (particularly AWS), Engineering practices and tooling, Observability, and Resiliency
• Extensive experience in technology risk, cyber security risk and Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs)
• Background in technology, leading cloud technology or security teams, technology regulatory and compliance, audit and assurance, and engineering will also be considered.
• Stakeholder management, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional qualifications such as (CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CA or CPA).
• Tertiary qualifications in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related subjects.
• Familiarity with APRA standards (not limited to CPS220, 231, 232, 234, 235) or Cloud risk frameworks is favourable.
