The Web Publishing team is responsible for managing and updating ASIC's corporate website ), ensuring it reflects the priorities of the Commission, supports stakeholder teams, and meets the needs of a broad and diverse audience. The team works collaboratively across the organisation to deliver timely, accurate, and accessible content that aligns with ASIC's strategic objectives and regulatory responsibilities. By maintaining consistency in tone, structure and presentation, the team helps uphold ASIC's digital presence and public reputation.
The role
As a Digital Content Publisher, you will play a key role in publishing and managing content on the corporate website to ensure it remains current, professional and user-focused. This role requires a strong understanding of digital communication principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with subject matter experts to publish complex regulatory and financial information into clear, engaging web content. Your contribution will directly support ASIC's ability to communicate effectively with the public, stakeholders and regulated entities through its primary online channel.
You Will Be Required To
- Manage and publish content on ASIC's corporate website
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to review and update web content
- Ensure content aligns with business needs, user experience and SEO best practice, and accessibility standards
- Use analytics and accessibility tools to understand user behaviour and improve content
- Provide guidance to staff on writing for the web and using templates and style guides
- Respond to website feedback and manage content-related requests
- Provide design advice and produce accessible online materials in line with ASIC standards
The ideal candidate will have a background in web design and digital communications, with experience managing content across digital platforms. You're comfortable working independently, balancing multiple projects, and translating technical information into clear, accessible content that meets user and business needs.
Other Key Requirements Include
- Advanced skills in web content management systems and content optimisation
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Understanding of user experience design, WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards, and SEO
- Experience using analytics tools like Google Analytics to guide content strategy
- Strong communication skills and ability to tailor content for diverse audiences
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage stakeholders and multiple projects under pressure and apply sound judgment
- Experience applying accessibility standards to digital assets, including PDFs
- Qualifications or experience in web design, digital communications, or interactive media
