The Opportunity

The Service Technician at King Living is a skilled professional in product assessment, repair, and post-delivery maintenance. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by diagnosing and resolving service issues while upholding King Living's quality standards.

Responsible for inspecting, repairing, and restoring assembled furniture in customers' homes, this role ensures timely and effective service solutions aligned with King Living's values.

The Role

This is a hands-on, mobile role responsible for delivering exceptional in-home service to King Living customers across various locations. You'll be on the road daily, visiting customers in their homes as well as King Living sites to assess, repair, and enhance the performance of our premium products.

You will act as the face of King Living in the field, combining technical expertise with a customer-first mindset to ensure every interaction reflects our high standards of service and product quality.

• Conduct detailed on-site inspections to diagnose product concerns and carry out repairs to the highest possible standard.
• Accurately document findings and customer feedback, reporting through appropriate Service and Quality channels.
• Ensure all work meets King Living's strict quality benchmarks and is free from defects.
• Take end-to-end ownership of each service visit, from issue identification to repair completion and customer follow-up.
• Confirm service completion with all required checks and validation steps.
• Maintain a strong customer focus, ensuring satisfaction and contributing to a high rate of 5-star product reviews.
• Aim to maximise first-call resolution and minimise repeat visits.
• Provide clear and professional product education to customers, helping them care for and prolong the life of their furniture.
• Actively promote King Care services and uphold the values and reputation of the King Living brand.
• Support fellow Service Technicians with complex or escalated customer issues as required.
• Identify trends or recurring issues and relay product feedback to QC and Engineering teams to support quality improvements.
• Maintain punctuality, reliability, and professionalism in all customer interactions.
• Complete any additional tasks or responsibilities as directed by management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering friendly, expert, and solution-focused service.
  
  

About You

• Previous experience as a Field Service Technician, with a strong technical skillset.
• Proficiency in using power and hand tools to conduct repairs and maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits to support troubleshooting and service tasks.
• Enthusiastic and committed, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
• Experience in repairing fabric and leather sofas is welcomed but not required.
• Knowledge of the furniture industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Flexibility with working hours and a keen eye for quality and craftsmanship.
• Valid full driver's licence, with the ability to travel to customer locations as required.
