As part of their strategic expansion into Australia, they have secured a flagship role on a major renewable energy project in New South Wales. The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a construction lawyer to manage a small, dynamic, and high-performing legal team, working on one of the largest and most complex infrastructure/renewable energy projects in Australia.

Reporting to the Head of Legal on the project, you'll be hands-on, providing commercially driven legal advice throughout project delivery with exposure to project development, procurement, and disputes.

You will:

• Be involved in all legal aspects of the project on major infrastructure/ renewables project.
• Advising upstream and assisting in the drafting, negotiation, and settlement of downstream procurement contracts and advise project teams on project contracts.
• Identify and provide advice on risks during delivery.
• Provide contract, claims and dispute management strategy and avoidance advice; and
• Attend tender, contract and dispute resolution discussions and negotiations.

The Candidate

The ideal lawyer for this role will have 5+ years PAE with front-end or delivery or back-end experience in a similar in-house role, or at a well-regarded law firm with relevant secondment experience.

This is the perfect role for a construction lawyer who is eager to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into a large-scale and complex project, using their well-honed legal and commercial skills to influence and advise the business.

Exposure to major projects in the renewable energy, road and rail infrastructure space will also be highly regarded.
