About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate must have experience using Best Practice software and a passion for providing excellent patient care. You will be the first point of contact for patients and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our busy practice.

Hours of Work:

Monday: 3:00 PM – Close

Tuesday: 4:00 PM – Close

Thursday: 4:00 PM – Close

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

(Closing time typically between 7:30 PM and 9:00 PM, depending on clinic schedule.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally
  • Manage appointments, recalls, and reminders using Best Practice
  • Answer phone calls and handle patient enquiries
  • Process billing and Medicare claims
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Assist with administrative tasks to support clinical staff
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, welcoming, and organized
  • Handle urgent situations with professionalism and efficiency

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist
  • Proficiency with Best Practice software is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Medicare billing processes preferred
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as per current health guidelines)
