We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Commercial Department at the Super Pit mine in Kalgoorlie. This is a residential role on a 5/2:4/3 Roster, working 9-hour days.
Sitting within the Commercial function, the Assistant Accountant provides support for transactional accounting services, supporting the onsite accounting team and site departments.
Key tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare bank reconciliations, Intercompany reconciliation, GRNI reconciliation, and manage accounts receivable.
- Maintain the capital module within Pronto including Work Breakdown Structures and end of month reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register within Pronto.
- Assist with month end accounting processes including transaction review, cost review, cost reporting and trend analysis.
- Assist with the preparation of site wide budgets and quarterly forecasts, and present information to various stake holders.
- Accounting experience, book keeping or recently completed/progressing to complete accounting tertiary study
- Intermediate level computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel)
- Previous experience in a role managing priorities, communicating across multiple levels in an organisation
- Must reside locally in the Goldfields
- National Police Clearance less than twelve (12) months
- Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence.
- Previous experience preferably within the Mining Industry
- Working experience in the use of Pronto Financials Software, or similar ERP
