Role

Maintenance Officer – full-time (Mon–Fri, 38 hours per week) in the Newcastle & Hunter region. This role involves maintenance of buildings, property, plant, and equipment to ensure a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Salary and benefits
  • Base pay range: $31.51/hr
  • Superannuation and salary packaging included
  • Laundry allowance included
  • Tools and vehicles supplied
  • Salary packaging up to $15,900 + $2,650 meals & entertainment allowance
  • Uniform provided
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake planned and reactive maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure work complies with WHS standards and organisational requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families with empathy and respect.
  • Support safe and high-quality aged care services through proactive property and asset management.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS and building-related legislation.
  • Trade background preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer literacy and organisational skills.
  • Current NSW Driver\'s Licence
Desirable
  • Maintenance experience in an aged care or retirement living setting.
  • Experience with CMMS (computerised maintenance management system) – training can be provided.
