About the Company

Our client, major VIC Government organisation impacting lives of Victorians are seeking experienced Technical Lead to work as part of a passionate, dynamic team.

The Integration Technical Lead is responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, build, and implementation of enterprise integration platforms & solutions. Acting as the technical application owner, the role ensures platform & solutions are configured to best practices and organisation needs while working collaboratively with IT Shared Services (ITSS), architecture team, project teams, and business stakeholders. The role also plays a key part in identifying opportunities for innovation and optimisation within the integration landscape, to enhance business efficiency and user experience.

Support the assessment, selection and implementation of enterprise integration platform
Lead the technical design, configuration, and implementation of enterprise integrations on the platform.
Act as the technical platform owner, ensuring integrations align with best practices and business requirements.
Work closely with vendors, other technical stakeholders and vendors to ensure alignment with existing governance and enterprise standards.
Raise and manage technical changes through established change management processes, ensuring appropriate reviews and approvals.
Implement technical changes, leading and guiding other technical resources, as well as hands-on ability to make changes.
Configure and manage enterprise integration standards, including security, compliance, and operational standards.
Provide technical leadership and expertise to support project implementation and ongoing improvements.
Collaborate with business teams to ensure integrations meet functional and operational needs.
Support testing, deployment, and adoption of integrations.

Key Selection Criteria

Relevant Qualifications, Work Experience & Specialised Knowledge

5+ years' hands-on experience working with integration platforms and leading technical integration implementation projects.
Strong expertise across integration architecture, platforms, data and security standards
Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise integration patterns (e.g., publish-subscribe, point-to-point, request-response, event-driven).
Deep understanding of API-led connectivity, ESB, message queuing, and event streaming.
Demonstrated experience with one or more enterprise-grade iPaaS or middleware platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi, IBM App Connect, Azure Integration Services, SnapLogic, Workato etc.).
Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud integration strategies
Strong grasp of data transformation, schema management, canonical data models, and metadata / catalogue governance.
Experience implementing secure integration practices including API gateways, identity management, encryption, and Zero Trust models.
Experience contributing to the evaluation, selection, and onboarding of enterprise platforms.
Ability to work with procurement and legal teams to assess platform capabilities, licensing, support models, and SLAs
Experience working within enterprise change management and project delivery processes.
Experience in engaging with senior stakeholders, helping to translate complex technical topics to business language.
Strong technical documentation skills, with experience creating design documents and implementation plans.
Knowledge of modern, best practices in DevOps and CI / CD.
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred but not required).
