Are you a friendly, motivated individual with a passion for patient care? Gympie Road Medical Centre is looking for someone to join our dynamic reception team. We offer both permanent and casual positions, including casual pool opportunities, to help meet the diverse needs of our busy, seven-day-a-week practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow professionally in a supportive and vibrant environment.

About You: We're seeking candidates with prior experience as a medical receptionist, especially those familiar with Best Practice software. However, if you have the right attitude and a strong willingness to learn, we'd be happy to provide training. The key to success in this role is your commitment to providing exceptional patient care and your positive, professional approach.

Key Responsibilities: As a Medical Receptionist, your duties will include:

  1. Welcoming patients at check-in and assisting with check-out.
  2. Scheduling appointments, managing recalls, and handling cancellations.
  3. Answering and directing incoming calls, along with managing outgoing communication.
  4. Ensuring accurate data entry and maintaining patient records.
  5. Processing payments and submitting third-party claims.
  6. Handling incoming and outgoing mail.
  7. Ensuring the surgery and consultation rooms remain clean and presentable.
  8. Addressing patient inquiries and relaying messages to doctors as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile: We are looking for candidates who:

  1. Have at least 12 months of experience as a receptionist in a medical centre.
  2. Are proficient with Best Practice software or similar systems.
  3. Can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  4. Are flexible and willing to support colleagues when required.
  5. Have advanced computer skills and a keen eye for detail.
  6. Possess a patient-centric attitude with strong communication skills.
  7. Demonstrate reliability and professionalism in all tasks.
