About The Role

As our next Excavator Operator, you will be a key member of our Production Mining Team, thriving on challenges and variety of work. We value passionate, energetic individuals who appreciate responsibility, recognition, and rewards.

In this role, you will:

  • Operate machinery efficiently and safely as a skilled production operator
  • Comply with Thiess' policies and procedures
  • Respond to instructions from the Mining Supervisor
  • Excavate to design boundaries of ore bodies, berms, and pit walls
  • Maintain floor levels
  • Minimize dilution and achieve design parameters within tolerances
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Carry out pre-start checks
About You
  • Minimum of 5 years mining experience as a mining production excavator operator
  • Experience operating Hitachi EX3600 or similar equipment
  • Experience loading dump trucks in a mining environment
  • Knowledge of ore markups and pit configuration
  • Skills to mine benches and cut batters with minimal final trim
  • HR driver's license (desirable)
  • Proven commitment to health and safety
