Introduction:

ConsMin produces some of the world's highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. Our ConsMin Australian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407kms south-east of Port Hedland. Enjoy a short two-hour flight direct to our well-equipped camp and mining operation - only a five minute drive from Woodie airport.

Description:

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor , the successful applicant will be required:

• Attend to site-based equipment issues across operational mining/plant locations
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on heavy machinery (e.g. excavators, loaders, dozers, haul trucks)
• Perform in-field and workshop maintenance, adjustments, and temporary repairs to keep equipment operational
• Liaise directly with site supervisors, operators, and technical teams
• Accurately report on fault findings, repairs, and part requirements
• Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and compliance at all times
• Previous experience in breakdown roles will be highly regarded
  
  

Skills and Experiences:

Requirements to be successful in this role are:

• Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate
• Current HR License Essential
• Current CN, DG, EWP advantageous
• Ability to understand and interpret OEM manuals and hydraulic/ pneumatic
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Product knowledge of Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment
• Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Air Conditioning Ticket advantageous
  
  

Applicants must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical, provide a clean NPC (dated within the last 6 months (or able to obtain) and provide valid references.
