About the role

We have an opportunity for an Art Director to join our creative team on a 12-month Parental Leave contract based in Alexandria.

The Art Director leads the creative strategy and design of all brand materials, ensuring high-quality, visually compelling assets across all channels. They collaborate with key stakeholders to align creative direction with brand goals, integrating storytelling to strengthen emotional connections with customers. As the brand guardian, they mentor the creative team and drive innovation while maintaining consistency across all touch points.

  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing and Creative Director to ensure all campaigns and marketing initiatives align with the brand strategy and marketing objectives.
  • Develop cohesive, brand-aligned campaign concepts that support overarching business objectives and enhance storytelling and brand narrative.
  • Lead and mentor the shoot production team to execute high-quality campaigns that meet the creative brief in collaboration with the Head of Marketing.
  • Utilise the brand strategy and creative pillars to develop impactful visual content across multiple channels and formats, including brand design, EDMs, homepage assets, organic & paid social media content, etc.
  • Develop and implement creative brand guidelines to ensure visual consistency across all brand touchpoints.
  • Present creative concepts and storyboards to internal stakeholders for alignment and approval.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing creative team.
  • Stay up to date with creative trends and industry advancements to continuously elevate the brand's creative output and design standards.

About you

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior role within fashion marketing: involving art direction, content creation, stills and video shoot production, and graphic design.
  • Proven experience leading and inspiring a high-performing team.
  • A deep appreciation for the by charlotte brand and values, with the ability to translate brand ethos into compelling deep and emotive visual narratives.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading creative teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven experience working with a brand that has strong visual storytelling.
  • Skilled in post-production, edits, retouching of photoshoots and video shoots.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (PSD, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects preferable.
  • Competency in print and digital.
