Rehabilitation Consultant

IPAR is a national occupational rehabilitation provider supporting people living with illness, disability or injury. Our care is tailored to each individual, offering workplace rehabilitation, counselling, injury prevention and employment support. Our multidisciplinary team includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists and Rehabilitation Counsellors. IPAR is part of the global MedHealth network. • Case management with manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks.
• Apply clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes.
• Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs with employers and employees.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals.
• Work across schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
• Assist those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
• Complete a variety of assessments, including initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries from motor vehicle accidents.

• Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Compassion, kindness and empathy.
• Strong time management skills.
• A current valid Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling.
• General or Provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC).
