About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Supervisor to join the carey team on an 8:6 roster, FIFO ex Perth.

This position will provide effective supervision and coordination of all Carey mobile maintenance personnel & maintenance equipment on site.

You will be responsible for ensuring all site maintenance schedules are adhered to, optimising the safety and performance of all mobile plant, and supporting the achievement of operational and production goals. This must be carried out in compliance with all Carey policies and procedures, as well as relevant statutory requirements.

You will have a solid understanding of Maintenance planning through to execution, and you will also be responsible for the following :-

Oversee site-based maintenance crews and contractors, to maintain all plant and equipment with maintenance schedules and OEM Standards including unscheduled maintenance work

Monitor the condition and performance of equipment to detect early signs of deterioration/failure

Ensure all relevant reports are completed; these include, but are not limited to, service reports, timesheets, and final inspection check sheets.

Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and Planners on site to develop maintenance schedules and activities for the operation

Facilitate all prestart and toolbox meetings and address any HSEQ issues including risk assessments for works within area of responsibility; and ensure a formal hand-over is conducted during shift or roster changeover.

HD Mobile Plant/ Mechanical Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualification is required along with at least 10 years post trade experience, in the mining industry

At least 5 years' experience in a maintenance supervisory position

Awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations

Experience in the operation and maintenance of mining plant & equipment; and

Sound understanding of maintenance work management processes and experience with managing maintenance work.

To be considered for this position you will have;

HD Mobile Plant/ Mechanical Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualification;

Schedule 26 (previously known as Section 44)

ICAM Investigation qualification -desirable; and

Medium proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
