JS Careers is pleased to be partnering with a global investment firm as they expand their Sydney-based team.

Founded by senior leaders from major global firms, our client is focused on supporting and scaling businesses in the sustainability industry. With offices globally, the team brings deep sector specialisation across climate-aligned sectors, flexible capital, and a hands-on approach to value creation.

While the definition of sustainability and environmental investing is ever evolving, our client has particular expertise in the natural capital, energy, and food/agriculture industries. With a growing portfolio of investments, the Sydney office is looking to engage 1-3 investment professionals on a contract basis (3-6 months) to support an upcoming project.

We are seeking candidates with approximately 2-10 years of experience, ideally from top-tier investment banks, private equity, or venture capital firms. Strategy consulting backgrounds (MBB) with deal exposure will also be considered.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting transaction screening, diligence, valuation, and execution
  • Preparing investment committee materials and financial models
  • Conducting market and thematic research
  • Assisting with portfolio management and post-investment strategy
  • Working closely with senior team members

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2-10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategy consulting
  • Strong financial modelling, research, and commercial analysis skills
  • A passion for climate and impact-focused investing
  • Ability to work in a lean, fast-paced, and globally connected team
