Overview

Investment Banking Associate (Renewable Energy) – Sydney, Australia

We are working with a leading investment advisory and asset management platform with a long-standing reputation in complex M&A, capital structuring, and strategic advisory across infrastructure and renewable energy. We are seeking an Associate with strong financial and transactional experience to join their Sydney-based group, advising on high-profile deals in energy transition, renewable energy, regulated utilities, and power.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead financial modelling and valuation workstreams across live transactions
  • Play a hands-on role in end-to-end deal execution: due diligence, negotiation support, board papers, and transaction structuring
  • Engage directly with senior clients and internal stakeholders across international offices
  • Prepare presentations and investment materials for strategic and financial clients
What We're Looking For
  • 4–7 years' experience (with a handful of successful deals) in investment banking (infrastructure/utilities/renewables sector coverage)
  • Infrastructure or energy-focused corporate development team
  • Infrastructure fund or large-scale renewables developer (with M&A exposure)
  • Advanced financial modelling and transaction execution skills
  • Exposure to brownfield infrastructure M&A or PPP transactions
  • Clear communication and ability to thrive in a high-performance team environment
