About the Role


gforce is seeking an experienced Gardener to assist with the care and maintenance of a wide range of plants, flowers, and gardens for a local government organisation in Ballarat.

What's in it for you?

  • Casual rate of $36- $37 per hour

  • Full-time hours, Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3:30pm

  • 4-week temporary assignment starting ASAP

  • Potential for ongoing work

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Weeding, planting, pruning, staking, raking, spreading mulch

  • Weed and pest control (spraying)

  • Operating zero-turn, push mowers & brush cutters

  • Other general gardening duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in gardening

  • Relevant horticulture qualifications (an advantage)

  • Physical fitness for labouring duties

  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions

  • Strong safety awareness

  • Current driver's licence

  • Ability to pass police check and drug screen

  • Own PPE including steel cap boots and hi-vis long-sleeved shirt
