  • Planning, developing and critiquing HASS programs and assessments to ensure relevance, rigour and student engagement.
  • Fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and academic growth within a biblical worldview.
  • Supporting student wellbeing and character development through pastoral care and classroom management that reflects Christian values.
  • Providing timely and constructive feedback to students and communicating with parents through written reports and conferences.
  • Actively participating in the spiritual, academic, sporting and cultural life of the school.
  • Upholding all Northshore policies and contributing to a positive school culture.
Selection Criteria
  • A personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and active involvement in a Christian church.
  • Alignment with SCEA's Statement of Faith, Foundational Beliefs and a lifestyle consistent with these statements.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Humanities and Social Sciences education.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
  • Strong knowledge of the Western Australian HASS Curriculum.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students in one or more HASS subjects.
  • Experience planning and delivering effective HASS courses that meet curriculum standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and parents.
  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Commitment to contribution beyond the classroom and engagement in school community life.
  • Experience teaching ATAR subjects such as History, Geography, Politics, Economics or Accounting.
  • Proven ability to personalise learning and support diverse student needs.
  • Familiarity with integrating a Christian perspective into curriculum and classroom practice.
  • Willingness to contribute to co-curricular or extra-curricular activities.
What We Offer
  • A purpose-filled teaching role in a growing, faith-aligned Christian school.
  • The opportunity to influence a flourishing learning culture where students are known, valued and supported.
  • Competitive salary, salary packaging options, and professional development pathways.
  • Support from a highly collaborative and experienced teaching and leadership team.
