What you bring?

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Personal Trainer to join our dynamic team at the Michael Clarke Recreation Centre. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience working with diverse client groups, including beginners, athletes, older adults, and those with specific health goals.

You should be driven to grow your client base, with a proactive attitude toward member engagement. Our Health Club thrives on community, results, and innovation—so we're looking for someone who can bring energy, professionalism, and a personal touch to every session. You'll be expected to contribute to the overall member experience and support gym floor operations.

You'll receive guaranteed gym floor hours to build rapport with members and showcase your expertise. We provide leads to help you convert members into long-term clients, giving you a strong foundation to grow within our brand. You'll also have the opportunity to design and run your own functional training classes, bringing your unique style and programming to life within our Health Club. Whether you're looking to expand or refine your skills, we offer the tools, support, and flexibility to help you thrive.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Run an onboarding program (training provided)
  2. Run and grow gym floor functional training classes
  3. Maintain and upkeep gym floor and equipment

Skills & Attributes

  1. Knowledge of current health & fitness procedures and practices
  2. Personal Training experience with various clientele
  3. Strong commitment to customer service and well-developed communication skills
  4. Certificate IV in Fitness (Cert III desirable)
  5. Current fitness registration with Fitness Australia or Physical Activity Australia
  6. Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  7. Current CPR Certificate
  8. Valid Working With Children Check
  9. Willingness to undergo police check as part of employment
  10. Driven to succeed with a friendly, can-do attitude
  11. Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential

Previous industry experience is highly regarded
