Overview

The Opportunity: Newcastle Anglican is seeking experienced Care Assistants to join its casual pool to work across its 5 Aged Care facilities in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care homes. This role offers an opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to gain further experience in a great team environment, bringing respect, compassion, integrity and enhancing the wellbeing of our residents.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Actively promote Anglican Care's positive culture through interactions with residents, staff and their families
  • Consistent delivery of person-centred care to residents in our facilities
  • Observe confidentiality matters at all times associated with documentation and communications
  • Abide by Aged Care Standards
  • Work as an effective team member
About you
  • Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, or 2nd/3rd Yr RN student
  • Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain
  • An ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to accurately document residents' care/progress
