About the Role

Report directly to the Electrical Maintenance Workshop Supervisor on a full-time, permanent position located at Eastern Ridge tooling operation hub. This position is FIFO on an 8D6RR roster.

Your duties will include :

  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on belt change-out equipment (Vulcanisers, Winches, Winders, Generators, and Conveyor Maintenance Equipment) to ensure availability, performance, and integrity of assets.
  • Testing and tagging
  • Fault finding on control systems
  • Conducting planned and unplanned maintenance in accordance with BHP policies and procedures
  • Following specific BHP electrical maintenance inspections and procedures
  • Demonstrating commitment to the BHP Charter values, Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct, and statutory obligations
  • Prioritizing health, safety, environment responsibility, and sustainable development
  • Handling safety incidents effectively by identifying and reporting hazards and incidents
  • Supporting daily inspections, planned maintenance, and breakdown response
  • Executing work orders as scheduled and following work instructions to high standards
  • Using SAP / Fiori and adhering to standardised work discipline
  • Contributing to root cause analysis and resolution of reliability issues
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities

About You

  • Electrical Trade Qualification – mandatory
  • HRWL Forklift, Dogging, and Rigging certifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with conveyor maintenance
  • Knowledge of fixed plant equipment maintenance is desirable
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems effectively
  • Experience with SAP / Fiori
