Senior Project Manager– Major Capital Delivery

We're working with a progressive local council in inner western Victoria that's leading the way in community infrastructure delivery. With a capital works program exceeding $200 million, this is a standout opportunity for a skilled Senior Project Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the region's future.
In this high-impact role, you'll take the lead on complex, large-scale building projects — overseeing everything from early planning to practical completion. If you thrive on-site, excel at managing contractors and consultants, and have a deep understanding of construction delivery in the public sector — we want to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing- Leading the end-to-end delivery of major capital works projects ($40M–$200M)
- Overseeing day-to-day site activity and contractor performance, ensuring timelines, safety, and quality are maintained
- Managing procurement, tendering, contract administration, and reporting functions
- Acting as the Superintendent's Representative for Council on major builds
- Providing strategic reporting and insights to Executive teams and Project Sponsors
- Ensuring governance, change management, and compliance frameworks are met
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex building infrastructure projects in Australia, ideally within local government or similar
- Proven ability to manage projects on-site daily, with strong hands-on experience in construction delivery
- Background in project management and facility management with excellent stakeholder and contractor engagement skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related fields
- Current White Card and Victorian Driver's Licence
