Director at Atherton Davis, specialist recruitment for Legal, Compliance, Risk & Company Secretarial

I am recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel position for a large, global insurance and assistance provider who partner with many of the world's most well-known brands.

Reporting into the General Counsel you will join a small team and be responsible for providing legal services to the business with a focus on the Australian and New Zealand operations. You will provide legal advisory and draft and negotiate distribution and service contracts as well as review and signoff on financial services guides, advertising and sales and marketing materials. In addition, you will provide company secretariat support, liaise, and report to relevant regulators and provide advice and support to the risk and compliance team.

The ideal candidate will be a senior legal professional of 10 years + PQE level ideally coming from the insurance industry however will consider front end financial services lawyers with demonstrable knowledge of the Corporations Act and financial services law (ASIC requirement/AFSL). You must have strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills, be innovative, engaging, collegiate with a high degree of autonomy/self-management.
