English Teacher

Full Time (Commencing T2, 2025)

The College is currently seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic English teacher to support our students as we grow young people of faith, character, and purpose.

Your Role:

Be a dynamic part of the English team, collegially creating rich learning experiences that strengthen students academically and with their general dispositions.
Previous experience is desirable, or a capacity to create resources, assessment tasks and lessons that align with the new Stage 4-5 English Syllabus, including the meaningful inclusion of technology and project-based learning experiences where applicable.
Have the capacity and willingness to teach all Stage 6 courses, and knowledge of syllabus requirements, as well as an understanding of NESA requirements for Stage 6 English Courses.
Have strong communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to build strong connections with students, staff and the wider school community.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in developing integrated learning experiences for junior students;
  • Have experience with Stage 6 learning, including teaching the New Stage 6 Syllabus (and demonstrated success);
  • Be committed to their own professional learning and growth;
  • Be pastorally minded and comfortable with sharing your faith;
  • Have an understanding of the wellbeing needs of adolescents; and,
  • Be willing to actively contribute to the extra-curricular life of the College.
