General Practice Nurse

We are a rural practice located in beautiful Eden on the far south coast of NSW. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and friendly Registered / Enrolled Nurse to join our experienced general practice team to provide healthcare to our rural community.

You will be paid above award wages according to your skill set and experience. Hours can be flexible to some extent to accommodate a work/life balance.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Administering immunisations for adults and children
  • Patient education and triage
  • Conducting health checks as per government guidelines for various age groups
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health checks
  • Assisting in minor procedures (skin excisions & iron infusions)
  • Managing patient reminders and recalls
  • Overseeing inventory for medical supplies
  • Performing medical examinations including ECG, spirometry, audiometry, and vision tests
  • Managing wound reviews and dressings
  • Cold chain management and infection control
  • Preparing GP Management Plans
  • Supporting practice accreditation processes
  • Participating in Telehealth consultations
Qualifications & Experience
  • Current unrestricted nursing registration with AHPRA (Div.1)
  • Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse (RN / EN) qualifications
  • Authorised Nurse Immuniser preferred but not essential
  • Previous medical centre experience in general practice preferred but not essential
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and work autonomously in a busy environment
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to ethical behaviour, conduct, and best practice
