Overview

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Australias leading public healthcare providers. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join The Royal Melbourne Hospital as a Classical Haematology – Clinical Fellow. This is a 12-month Fixed Term, Part Time position at 0.4 EFT (34.4 hours per fortnight) commencing 2 February 2026.

The Clinical Fellow will join the Unified Haematology Department formed between The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the largest haematology service in the country, providing care across eight disease groups in a senior, research‑focused environment.

About The Role

This part-time, 12-month Fixed-Term position is based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and involves working 34.4 hours per fortnight.

About You
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (for international Medical Graduates)
  • MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • Post graduate qualifications in haematology (FRACP, FRCPA) or equivalent
  • Significant experience in haematology, particularly bone marrow transplantation
  • Ability to work in a team
Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities include participation in clinical haematology services, involvement in patient care across the eight disease groups, and engagement with the research opportunities in the division.
