Experience in production scheduling or operations within Utilities / Heavy Industry Production & Treatment operations.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-focused Production and Treatment Scheduler to plan, schedule, and assign all work for our Production & Treatment plant operations staff. You will play a key role in resource utilization, operational asset management, and achieving customer-led quality and compliance targets.

Key responsibilities

  1. Plan, schedule, and assign all work for Production & Treatment plant operations staff to support efficient and effective resource utilization.
  2. Deliver an effective scheduling service for the team that demonstrates efficient use of resources.
  3. Provide a responsive work order provisioning service aligned with quality and compliance requirements, valued by all work groups.
  4. Develop and manage short- and medium-term work plans, ensuring outstanding work and backlog are captured, engaging constructively with Treatment Coordinators and Managers, and delivering within agreed timeframes.
  5. Review and improve work plans across Production & Treatment work groups to optimize resource utilization.
  6. Source job resources as required, including information, plans, personnel, stock, and contractors.
  7. Ensure high-impact operational events requiring additional support are efficiently planned and delivered to minimize risk and meet business requirements.
  8. Collaborate with Treatment Coordinators and Managers on planning, scheduling, and following up reactive work activities.
  9. Use data and information effectively in planning work schedules to optimize resources and meet operational needs.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in production/treatment scheduling or operations planning, preferably in industrial or utility environments.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and resource allocation skills across multiple work groups.
  • Proactive problem-solving with a data-driven approach to scheduling and backlog management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working with Treatment Coordinators and Managers.
  • Familiarity with quality and compliance considerations in production/treatment settings.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a calm and constructive approach during high-impact events.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools, data analysis, and reporting for decision support.

Desirable attributes

  • Experience with asset management and maintenance planning.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental compliance relevant to Production & Treatment operations.
  • Proven track record of improving resource utilization and turnaround times.
