What You Will Do

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Financial Controller is a key leadership role with primary responsibility for finance and commercial functions. You will partner with the CEO and other stakeholders to deliver strong financial integrity and insights to support sales and operations. You will also support the CEO and Board in developing strategy, funding and acquisitions, and systems improvement as part of our growth pipeline.

This role leads the Finance team responsible for financial reporting, tax, regulatory compliance, accounts payable, cash reconciliations, accounts receivable and payroll. You will manage budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, and ensure strong financial controls, audit readiness and financial risk management.

You will have an exciting opportunity to influence key commercial partnerships and acquisition due diligence and integration, and support the design and implementation of a new enterprise system to streamline ways of working across the organisation.

This is a critical role to evolve the sophistication of MLC's finance and commercial processes, building financial management capability and embedding automation, AI and data-driven insights into operations.

Who You Are

You are aligned to our purpose and vision and excited by the opportunity to drive change and improve ways of working. You have a proven track record of developing the finance function in rapidly growing businesses, enjoy hands-on mentoring of your team, and leverage technology to enable efficiencies and performance. You are a strong communicator, confident in delivering commercial outcomes and building trusted relationships with the Executive team and wider business. Experience in the NDIS sector and/or aged care/healthcare is highly desirable. You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business or Accounting and are ACA or CPA qualified.
