We are seeking a Retail Manager, Jetstar (JQ) for our newly expanded International business partnership with Jetstar Airways in Asia Pacific, on a fixed term 12 month contract. This exciting role is responsible for the delivery of all contracted services within the allocated region, across the Japan, Australia and New Zealand network.

The Retail Manager will manage JQs In-Flight Retail Program, delivering innovation and business improvements, and continuously enhance profit performance and customer satisfaction for the partnership.

This role will suit someone who is able to establish productive working relationships and manage the diverse needs of stakeholders on both sides of the contract. Along with being able to respectfully negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.

What does a typical day look like?
We are looking for an experienced hand, someone who has been either a Retail Manager or Operations Manager with experience managing a national or regional retail program, service or network on behalf of a client. You will provide leadership and guidance in all key areas across the Retail program.

In a Nutshell Your Main Responsibilities Are:

• Ownership of Safety, Security, Quality and Productivity metrics.
• Oversee the performance of all dedicated Jetstar teams at your designated port.
• This includes motivating and inspiring team members to build an environment on trust, open communication, and clarity on all goals.
• Lead and develop strategies to build revenue, achieve quality targets and minimise any risks to the business or partnership.
• Manage close relationships with our supplier partners and customer teams to ensure 'final mile performance' constantly meets and exceeds expectations.
• Review current business performance cycles and fine tune efficiencies based on forecasts, reporting and customer analysis.
• Manage the safe and efficient delivery of service by cabin crew, flight packing operations by caterers, maximise efficiencies in inventory & weight.
• Manage localised supply chain, product development and contract management.
• Manage Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliances including Food and Aviation Safety, ensuring that all certifications and training are up to date for all team members.
• Manage On Time Performance (OTP) for our services at your designated port.
• Lead, investigate and report on any incidents involving our services, particularly in relation to safety, compliance or financial risk at your designated port.
• Assist our GM Jetstar Retail and our Manager, Operations & Systems to drive strategies, support business goals and manage any assigned projects.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

• Demonstrated success in a similar commercial and operational role.
• High level business to business (B2B) relationship management skills.
• Strong leadership and communications skills.
• Experience in complex Budgeting and formulating large P&Ls.
• Strategic focus and 'Change Manager' competencies.
• Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
• Ability to develop and oversee delivery of projects.
• Tertiary Education in Business or Finance.
