YHA Coolangatta is a vibrant and welcoming property located in the heart of Coolangatta, just steps away from some of Australia's best beaches and 500 meters from the Gold Coast Airport. This property is ideal for travellers seeking a beachside adventure or a relaxing getaway in a lively city. YHA Coolangatta features a range of private and co-living rooms with shared bathrooms and offers facilities, including a swimming pool, guest games room, and convenient proximity to public transport, cafes, and local attractions.

About the role :

We are on the search for a proactive and passionate hospitality all-rounder to join our dynamic team. The Guest Services All-Rounder is a casual role that offers exposure to all operational aspects of our properties.

This position allows you to work across Reception, Housekeeping, Guest Activities, and Food & Beverage. With development opportunities locally and across Australia, this role is the perfect next step for someone looking to build a foundation for a career in general or property management.

Responsibilities include :

• Reception - Welcoming guests and ensuring a seamless check-in process while accurately recording all accounts and documentation.
• Guest Activities - Creating, promoting, and planning guest activities and social events to keep guests engaged and entertained.
• Housekeeping - Maintaining the property and guest rooms to high standards, including managing laundry, maintenance, and safety issues efficiently.
• Food & Beverage - Ensuring food hygiene and compliance, and preparing and serving food and beverages, including barista duties.
• Health & Safety - Adhering to all YHA policies and procedures to ensure safety for yourself and others.

About you :

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for providing engaging guest service.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or similar roles is preferred.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• RSA certification is essential; a First Aid certificate is desirable.
• Knowledge of the local area and travel/tourism industry is a plus.
