How you'll make an impact:

As the Lead Lifecycle Campaign Planner, you'll play a crucial role in shaping and managing our global and regional email campaign strategy. By monitoring contact frequency, email engagement and opt out, you'll help drive meaningful and relevant customer interactions and experience while supporting core business objectives. You'll optimise processes, set up frameworks and create documentation to streamline cross-functional ways of working.

In this role you'll work closely with requesting stakeholders (e.g. Regional Marketing, Product Marketing, and Partnership teams) to understand and align on objectives and priorities, enabling you to strategically scope, plan, and reverse brief campaign recommendations. As a data-led strategic thinker, you'll provide campaign guidance that balances stakeholder needs with best practice and customer experience. You'll collaborate with the Marketing Automation Team Lead, Regional and Ops Comms and their team of Marketing Automation Specialists to translate stakeholder briefs into effective and timely executions and track key metrics such as deliverability, opt-outs, and engagement. You'll also partner with Lifecycle Marketing Leads to establish and monitor the full end-to-end customer communications view to protect the customer's inbox.

What you'll do:

  • Take ownership of the entire customer communications calendar (Small Business and Accountant & Bookkeeper Partners), acting as the front door for all internal direct communications requests (including Product Marketing, Regional Marketing, and Partnerships)
  • Serve as a strategic advisor, placing the customer at the core, making decisions based on data and expertise, and recommending alternatives when necessary
  • Coordinate cross-functional programs across technical and non-technical teams to ensure cohesive campaign planning and delivery
  • Regularly communicate results and program status updates, owning outcomes and flagging risks to stakeholders and the GM Lifecycle Marketing
  • Own and maintain the master email communications calendar, ensuring visibility across lifecycle, promotional, transactional, and ad-hoc sends
  • Monitor and optimise global and regional campaign schedules to avoid message conflicts or audience saturation; escalate concerns with the MA Team Lead in the loop
  • Provide appropriate calendar visibility to different stakeholder groups
  • Categorise campaign briefs by priority, impact and reach, ensuring capacity and deadlines are met
  • Establish guidance and content frameworks for stakeholders and MA Specialists (templates, copy length, CTAs, AI tools) to maximise engagement
  • Develop and implement a tiered framework to standardise responses to briefs and enable reusable templates (e.g., T1 event in a box)
  • For non-standard or complex programs, work with stakeholders to interpret objectives, document requirements, obtain early sign-off, and manage scope
  • Support the Marketing Automation Team Lead in sharing learnings across regions and embedding stakeholder behaviours that drive efficiency
  • Work with the Marketing Automation Team Lead to maintain clear processes for planning, approvals and launches to deliver high-quality campaigns on time

What you'll bring with you:

  • A background in Email Marketing and/or Digital Campaign Planning
  • Strong understanding of email marketing as a channel, engagement metrics and best practices
  • Ability to manage timelines, drive operational efficiency and process improvement in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence to challenge constructively to balance customer experience with business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional stakeholder-led initiatives
  • Experience operating in a global matrix
  • Experience implementing and maintaining project tools (e.g., Asana, G Suite)
