Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shadowing and gaining experience in the life of an Early Childhood educator.
  • Being paired with a host supervisor for guidance and feedback.
  • Developing respectful and collaborative relationships with professionals, children, and families.
  • Demonstrating positive interactions with children to foster inclusive learning environments.
  • Participating in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs for children.
  • Supporting children's growth and development in play-based programs.
  • Documenting children's learning and development.
  • Performing activities under supervision to meet course requirements.
About You

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Currently studying toward a Certificate 3, Diploma, or Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood.
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check.
  • Provide a signed Student Placement Agreement with insurance documentation.
  • Agree to adhere to the Council's Employee Code of Conduct.
