Join the Vegetation Management Unit in Charleville as a Natural Resource Management Officer at the Queensland Government. This temporary role offers a mix of technical work and community engagement within a supportive, collaborative team. Our Land division manages 60% of Queensland's land and provides various land and property services, including land valuations, native title claims, indigenous land services, vegetation management, and more.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assessing applications under the Vegetation Management Act 1999 and related frameworks.
  • Conducting desktop and field-based vegetation assessments.
  • Providing expert advice to landholders, community members, and stakeholders.
  • Preparing clear, evidence-based reports, briefs, and recommendations for senior officers.
  • Contributing to compliance inspections and enforcement planning.
  • Supporting continuous improvement, business planning, and policy implementation.
