We plan and manage land use and heritage to shape the future of Western Australia's cities, regions and towns.

Our work ranges from managing much loved state assets such as Whiteman Park and Fremantle Prison, to overseeing the Aboriginal Lands Trust and Crown land estates. We also work closely with diverse agencies on strategic priorities such as METRONET and other significant and transformative city projects.

We plan how to make best use of WA's natural and built assets for the sustainable and responsible development of Western Australian communities.

Our key focus areas are:

• Aboriginal heritage and lands management
• Crown land administration
• historic heritage conservation services
• integrated land and infrastructure policy development
• land use planning and policy development.

Depending on the division and region you are placed in, you may gain experience and knowledge in:

• business corporate services such as human resources, communications, finance and/or facilities management
• land use planning or management

Traineeship locations

Perth, but applicants from Albany, Kununurra, and Broome will also be considered.

• a completed School based trainee application form
• a Year 10 semester one school report with Year 9 NAPLAN, OLNA results or subject grades.
