Are you interested in kick-starting your career in business administration with a leading WA organisation?

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from enthusiastic and motivated individuals keen to be considered for future Business Traineeship opportunities at Western Power.

About the Traineeship

While this is not a current vacancy, registering your interest now means you'll be among the first to hear when our next Business Traineeship Program opens. This 12-month program provides an entry-level pathway into Western Power, combining hands-on experience with formal training to complete a Certificate III in Business.

This opportunity is ideal for recent school leavers — particularly those who left school within the past two years.

What We Look For

Successful future candidates will typically demonstrate:

  • Some experience in a customer service or administrative role (paid, school-based, or volunteer)
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • A willingness to learn, with a reliable and punctual attitude
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Minimum C grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent
  • Residency in Western Australia and status as an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Willingness to provide a National Police Clearance
