We are seeking an efficient and friendly full-time Gardener/Maintenance Officer/Bus driver to join our team at our Noosa Waters Retirement Village in beautiful Noosaville.

About the role

Working in this varied role, you will find yourself working in the gardens, looking after maintenance of equipment or driving the bus.

Tasks May Include But Not Be Limited To

• Horticultural and grounds development, maintenance and monitoring;
• Garden beds re-planting and maintenance to maximise seasonal conditions;
• Pruning of trees and shrubs
• Lawns mowing, edging, fertilising and weeding;
• Clearing and removal of garden refuse;
• Path, drains and edge repair and maintenance;
• Ensuring that fences and retaining walls are maintained in good repair;
• Undertaking of routine repair work and maintenance, which requires prior experience and is trade related in and about the Facility;
• Ensuring gardening machinery/equipment (e.g. mowers) service schedules planning and implementation according to manufacturers' recommendations,
• Bus driving when required to take residents on scheduled outings.

To be successful in this position, you will need to be someone who is approachable, reliable, and brings enthusiasm and a can-do attitude to your work.

What you will bring to the role?

• Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens or related field (highly regarded)
• Previous experience and knowledge in general and commercial maintenance and gardening
• Possess knowledge of trade resources and suppliers of materials
• Current manual drivers licence
• Exceptional people and interpersonal skills
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate with various stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
