Are you an experienced ILS professional ready to make a real impact in Defence logistics? A key Defence program based in Cairns is seeking a skilled Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Practitioner to support the acquisition and introduction into service of Army and Land Minors projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

As the ILS Practitioner, you'll be part of a small, agile team, reporting to the Project Manager. You'll manage moderately complex ILS tasks with limited supervision, applying your initiative and judgement to deliver critical logistics support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all aspects of ILS deliverables including NATO codification and cataloguing of items of supply.
  • Identifying supplier and repair pipelines and supporting commercial teams in establishing through-life support contracts.
  • Developing and updating technical documentation such as equipment and repair parts schedules.
  • Conducting transactions in authorised logistics inventory management systems (LIMS) to support product introduction and sustainment.
  • Preparing entitlement documentation for Army Headquarters direction of issue.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders across Defence and industry.
  • Participating in stakeholder meetings and acceptance testing and reviewing ILS-related outcomes.
  • Contributing to reports and artefacts related to ILS management.

What You'll Bring:

  • Certificate IV in Materiel Logistics or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in ILS across acquisition and sustainment phases.
  • Proven capability in introducing new systems into service and managing Fundamental Inputs to Capability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Army Marine watercraft (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Defence systems and tools such as SAP/S4HANA, FEDLOG, MEMS, MCCAT, Objective, MILIS, CMT-L, and Microsoft Office Suite (desirable).
