Early Years Practitioner

Tynecastle Nursery School

Salary: £28- £32,

Hours : 36 per week, 52 weeks

Tynecastle Nursery is housed within Tynecastle Stadium in a purpose built nursery space. The nursery is registered for 55 children aged 2-5 years and benefits from a diverse and engaged community. A highly skilled, dynamic and motivated staff team support the children and families.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated Early Years Practitioner to join us on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to work shift patterns within the setting, between the hours of 9:00 and 18:00, Monday - Friday, with some late shifts on rotation, within each month.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team to support children aged 2-5 years and families within Tynecastle Nursery.
  • Meet the needs of the setting within shift patterns (including some late shifts on rotation).
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Required qualification(s) as specified in the attached documentation.
  • Post is regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required.
  • An unconditional offer will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
