Overview

Join to apply for the Caseworker, Early Years Places role at The Benevolent Society.

Part-time (0.8 FTE, 4 days per week), contract role until June 2026 with potential to extend. Based on Yuggera Country in Browns Plains with travel. Salary: $38.68ph - $48.47ph + Super + Salary Packaging.

Duties
  • Manage a client caseload (families who have young children aged 0-8 years).
  • Work in partnership with families to assess strengths, needs and risks, develop, implement and periodically review case plans.
  • Support the delivery of other programs such as playgroups and parenting programs.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with young children and families, with high-quality practical intervention and casework skills.
  • High level understanding of preventative and early intervention approaches in child and family support; experience partnering with parents in developing case plans.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with ability to engage families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in working with First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse families.
  • Current driver's licence and valid Blue Card.
