Overview

A Functional Consultant is responsible for gathering business requirements for various Salesforce-related projects. As a hands-on team member, you will effectively communicate, manage client expectations, and ensure adherence to standard processes. Your role encompasses both technical and functional aspects, allowing you to fulfill duties associated with both a Functional Consultant and a Developer, making you a well-rounded consultant.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Present complex client and vendor concepts to various stakeholders and act as a business resource lead on engagements.
  2. Facilitate internal and external communication to improve transparency and disseminate information.
  3. Support clients in maximizing ROI and achieving their goals.
  4. Meet with clients to analyze their needs, document requirements, and collaborate with the project manager to estimate work and define project scope.
  5. Identify and communicate any changes that may require additional client investment.
  6. Provide weekly reports to the project manager on identified risks and issues that need to be escalated to senior management.
  7. Understand clients' work practices and business nature to effectively define needs and customize solutions using the Force.com platform.
  8. Facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts.
  9. Ensure the team working on the client's solution is functional and productive.
  10. Investigate, document, and analyze key client organizational processes.
  11. Recommend improvements and assist in implementing best practices.
  12. Support the Business Owner as needed.
  13. Collaborate with the technical team, architects, and developers to create functional specifications and requirement documentation.
  14. Maintain an effective client follow-up system to ensure regular communication regarding project progress, issues, risks, actions, and overall satisfaction.
  15. Coordinate, develop, and deliver client training sessions.
Qualifications

  1. Salesforce Admin Certification.
  2. Experience in providing solution consulting and implementing best practice architectural recommendations to address complex business challenges using the Salesforce.com platform.
  3. Proficiency in all Salesforce configuration and administrative activities/tools, including Process Builder, Flows, Assignment Rules, Approval Processes, Salesforce CPQ, Reports, Dashboards, and training for new users.
  4. OmniStudio/Vlocity (must have), Salesforce Public Sector, Experience Cloud and Field Service.
