About the role

The Production Operator / Machine Operator role is a full-time position based in Wetherill Park, NSW. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will operate a range of fixed and mobile plant in a dynamic environment to manufacture high-quality products.

The main purpose of this role is to assist in the production of Gyprock, Plasters & Compounds products.

Shift Pattern : 12-hour rotating shifts, working day (06:00-18:00) and night (18:00-06:00). Every second weekend off.

In this role, you will:

  1. Operate machinery and ensure materials meet the required standards, performing quality checks as needed.
  2. Identify and report equipment and product faults.
  3. Unload and stage various products.
  4. Contribute to risk and hazard identification and participate in initiatives to improve quality.
  5. Maintain housekeeping and perform other duties as required.
  6. Drive a forklift (3T or above) and complete pre-start checklists.

What you bring to the role

  1. A strong work ethic and commitment to safe work practices and safety.
  2. A current forklift license with experience.
  3. Ability to work well with others and be a team player.
  4. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  5. High attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting skills.
  6. Computer literacy and experience with ERP / HMI systems (highly desired).
  7. Willingness to work rotating shifts.
  8. Proven success in a similar role, preferably in high-volume, multi-stage manufacturing environments.
  9. Understanding of production operations.
