Position Overview

We're seeking casual Pool Lifeguards to ensure safety, fun, and smooth operations at our aquatic centres in Birrong, Revesby, and Roselands. Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, between 4:30am and 11:00pm, offering flexibility. Enjoy an hourly rate + allowance, and a role that makes a difference.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service in line with Council's values and Aquatics Customer Charter.
  • Supervise pool areas safely and attentively.
  • Follow safety procedures, supervision plans, and operational manuals.
  • Enforce water safety rules, including the "Keep Watch @ Public Pools" program.
  • Create a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
  • Respond confidently to emergencies and first aid situations.
  • Support the team through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Assist with customer service at the kiosk and merchandise area, including EFTPOS and cash handling.
  • Assist with pool plant operations and chemical dosing if trained.
Qualifications
  • RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
  • Apply First Aid Certificate.
  • Working with Children Check Clearance (if over 18).
Remuneration and Benefits

Starting at $39.23 per hour (including Casual Loading) plus AWCA1 Allowance and 12% super. The rate may be negotiable based on skills and experience.
