What is our opportunity?

As an In- Work Support Mentor, you will play a critical role in providing ongoing support to participants who have secured employment. You will mentor and coach individuals, helping them navigate the challenges of their new roles and ensuring they have the tools and resources to succeed. Your responsibilities will also include regular check-ins with participants, providing guidance on workplace issues, and connecting them with additional support services as needed to ensure sustainable, ongoing employment. You will also collaborate with employers to foster a positive working relationship.

Requirements and qualifications
  • Experience within Employment Services or related industry is highly advantageous but not essential for the role.
  • A qualification such as a Cert IV in Employment Services is highly regarded, but not an essential requirement.
  • A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory prior to commencement of employment.
  • A myGovID is required to access Government data aligned to the role.
  • You are a dedicated professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and employers. The ability to problem-solve and resolve conflict, and provide tailored support to meet the unique needs of every client.
  • Ability to balance empathy, dignity, and respect in daily work with a drive to achieve positive business outcomes.
